Dr. Karen Nelson founded Heavenly Health LLC in 2020—right in the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic—because she saw how deeply people were craving guidance, hope, and a path back to health.
She moved her practice to Bath, Michigan, in the summer of 2025. Working out of Birch Tree Wellness Studio, she continued to do what she loved most: walk beside individuals on their healing journeys, helping them reconnect to their vitality, their purpose, and their ability to feel truly well—body, mind, and spirit.
Happily married for almost 25 years, she and her husband, Dan, then became empty nesters. While happy to see her three children pursuing their dreams at college, the transition came with a surprising twist of emotions. While a perfectly normal response to hormonal fluctuations that occur during post-menopause, the change led her to finally find her niche after a decade of working with clients.
Seeking to empower women during challenging times with compassion and support, Midlife Vitality is the result.
Dr. Karen earned her certification as a Spiritual Practitioner in the Fall of 2023. The timing to do so coincided with an especially challenging personal time in which she experienced her own spiritual crisis - which had nothing to do with faith or religion!
Now she excitedly works with clients - offering them a metaphorical oar to navigate the tumultuous waters of finding their life purpose, transforming their shadow aspects and discovering the awe and wonder in life.
